Surprise Birthday Party Extravaganza!

“Shh…Don’t tell Kelvin but we have planned an epic surprise party for Saturday night!” These were the whispers circulating Turtle Cove Beach Resort all week in preparation for Kelvin, the owner’s birthday. What we planned was a night family, friends and guests would not soon forget!

The night started by welcoming back Zach Avanti on the piano. The beautiful melodic sounds created a calming atmosphere as everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner. The perfect way to relax and get ready for the excitement of the night.

Vegas style showgirls wearing feather headdresses and barely-there sparkling costumes, shimmy and shaked through the restaurant and around the pool to the beats of a bongo. This was followed by a mesmerising fire twirling performance which left everyone wanting more. The show was hot!

Then to top it all off, The Code, a Cairns-based 5 piece band had everyone rocking late into the night with a wide range of cover songs from different genres.

Kelvin was definitely surprised when he was asked to sit centre stage and everyone began to sing Happy Birthday as the cake came out. It was a wonderful night to celebrate a wonderful man.
