While Queens in Queensland celebrate Her Majesty's special day with a public holiday in October, and queens in Western Australia mark the occasion with a public holiday in September, it's interesting to note that Queen Elizabeth II actually turns 92 on April 21 this year.
But, as the rest of Australia celebrates the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend with a public holiday on Monday 11 June it's only fitting that Australia's only LGBTI resort dons the crown jewels and kicks up its heels to mark this weekend of gay antics!
So, pencil it in your diary for Friday June 8 to Monday June 11 and come celebrate the birth of Queen B, Queen Elizabeth and all the other queens out there who need an excuse to pop the bubbly and have a birthday nip or two! :-)
Turtle Cove will be turning on the fun and campery from Friday afternoon 'knock off drinks' through til Monday evening with a royal affair not to be missed. Book your holiday now and stay all weekend or just grab your chariot up the Captain Cook Highway for a day by the pool.
More details to come!!!
*** be aware, the IRONMAN 70.3 Cairns leg takes place on our doorstep on Sunday 10 June, so this means the Captain Cook Highway will be closed in most parts between Cairns & Port Douglas between 7am & 5pm ***
